Bare Bones Disco is a pale ale, and it took gold at the 2026 Texas Craft Brewers Cup while the brewery carried home the Brewery of the Year cup.1
Why go
The Guild scores its cup on points, three for a gold, two for a silver, one for a bronze, and the cup goes to whoever banks the most in their size group. Bird Creek medaled four times in one edition.1 The 2026 haul runs Bare Bones Disco in gold, then Flat Penny in Stout and Porter, Waka Waka in IPA and Galactic Grackle back in the hoppy pale class.1 A year earlier Ghost Beach took gold in American and International Light Lager, which is the hardest style in the room to hide anything in.1 The brewery opened downtown in 2023.2 Three years is fast.

Verdict
should-visit — Nine medals in three years is not a lucky batch, and the spread is what makes the case: gold on a pale ale, silver on a stout, silver on an IPA, gold on a light lager. A brewer who lands a clean light lager and a hazy IPA in the same building has control of his water and his yeast. The Brewery of the Year cup sits inside the under-620-barrel bracket, which is the company a three-year-old brewhouse keeps. The burgers have no published account yet, so the food keeps you there and the beer is what gets you in the car.
