Exale Taproom
The brewery brews weekly and says why: hops fade fast, so the beer on the bar is close to the tank.2
Why go
Exale sits in Unit 2C of the Uplands Business Park on the Blackhorse Beer Mile, a few units from Signature Brew, and CAMRA records that the permanent taproom came out of a tie-up with Victory London Distillery.1 The brewery's own account of what it is doing is music, dance, beer and food, and the licence backs it up: the bar runs to 2am every Friday and Saturday. Locals, students, key workers and hospitality staff get 10 per cent off drinks any time if they bring ID to the bar.2
Order this / avoid

Verdict
could-visit — A Blackhorse Beer Mile taproom that brews weekly and says plainly why, because hops fade fast, so what is on the bar is close to the tank. It runs to 2am every Friday and Saturday, which no other room in this slice does, and the brewery's own pitch is music and dancing rather than a quiet pint. Locals, students, key workers and hospitality staff get 10 per cent off any time on production of ID. CAMRA records the permanent taproom as the product of a tie-up with Victory London Distillery. It stays mid-ladder because nothing published names a beer, and because the brewery's own site is doing most of the talking.
