Le Kliff
A clifftop dining room on the Barra de Navidad road at km 17.5, under what the restaurant calls one of the world's largest palapas. It is at Boca de Tomatlán, 25 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, not in town.
Why go
The setting is the whole published case. The restaurant sits on a beachfront crag above the water, in tropical gardens, under a single enormous palapa.1 I can tell you where it is and how long the drive takes, and that is where the record stops: the site publishes no menu, names no chef and lists no dish, so I have nothing to point you at on the plate.2
Good to know
- It is not in Puerto Vallarta town. Carretera a Barra de Navidad km 17.5, at Boca de Tomatlán, and the restaurant puts the drive at 25 minutes.1
- Call ahead. The site takes contact through its own page rather than an open booking system.1
Verdict
listed — The pin was in the wrong town, which mattered more than anything on the menu: it sat under Barra de Navidad, a separate town down the Jalisco coast, because a highway name got read as a destination. That is fixed and reported. On the cooking I have nothing to give you, because the restaurant publishes a testimonial carousel and no menu, and no approved publication covers this stretch of Jalisco yet. The view off the crag is the documented attraction and it is the restaurant's own claim. It stays a listing until somebody writes about a plate.
