5 Acres Restaurant & Bar
Greg Baxtrom, the chef behind Olmsted, cooks on the concourse level behind the Rockefeller Center rink.
Why go
The card is Midwestern-leaning American with Chicago dishes on it. Rockefeller Center's own page pitches the room for dinner, after-work drinks, lunch and group dining. I haven't found a review of the food, so I have no dish to point you at.
What locals & experts say
- Rockefeller Center's own dining page:
Chef Greg Baxtrom's 5 Acres brings a seasonal, vegetable-forward approach to Rockefeller Center. With a creative menu that evolves with the harvest.

Verdict
could-visit — Camp 5 Acres, the summer half, is credited to Baxtrom's years as an Eagle Scout. Baxtrom's name is the reason to walk down there.
