Blanca
Blanca served its last dinner on 12 April 2025. It had run twelve years as a tasting counter inside Roberta's in Bushwick, reached off the pizzeria's patio. The lease went.
Why go
Victoria Blamey took the kitchen over in 2024, after a long pandemic hiatus. She cooked her Chilean upbringing at that counter: sweet crab empanadas, and a tortilla de rescoldo dotted with chicharron. Roberta's wood-fired oven puffed and charred the bread.
Time Out reports one MICHELIN star, and two stars from Pete Wells in the Times in 2012. Wells came back in 2024, gave it another star, and put it second on that year's Times hundred.
