Brasserie Boulud
Brasserie Boulud is due to open at 1900 Broadway on 17 September 2026, across from Lincoln Center. It is Daniel Boulud's first brasserie in New York. That is a strange gap for a man from Lyon. Christina D'Angelo, who ran the kitchen at Boulud Sud for him, is the executive chef.
Why go
The room is one restaurant made out of three. Bar Boulud, Boulud Sud and Épicerie Boulud closed together on this corner in June 2025. The Rockwell Group has built the replacement around a large oval bar. The retail épicerie is folded back in. It holds 320 seats indoors and out, which makes it Boulud's biggest room in the city. Josh MacGregor is the head sommelier. He pours by the glass from oversize bottles, leaning on Beaujolais.
Order this / avoid
- Order: the DB Burger stuffed with foie gras, back on a Boulud menu after the closures.
- Order: merguez sausage, or the spaghetti with saffron, both carried over from Boulud Sud.
- Avoid: counting on a pre-theater table without booking. Reservations opened on 1 September 2026 and the prix fixe pre-theater menu is still being written.
What locals & experts say
- Florence Fabricant, in the New York Times on 25 August 2026: Boulud told her,
We'll have a brasserie menu with charcuterie, seafood, steaks and many classics,
then named oeufs mayonnaise, onion soup, escargots, steak frites and blanquette de veau.1 - Bryan Kim, editorial lead for The Infatuation in New York, filing in September 2025 before the room existed:
We haven't been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.
