Craft + Carry Saint Marks
Sixteen taps pour at 116 Saint Marks Place, two of them nitro, with three hundred more beers in cans and bottles behind them.1
Why go
Most of what is on those lines was brewed close by. The company told Patch that its draft selections mostly come from breweries within a 150 to 200 mile radius. Its own buying brief is local, hyperlocal and independent.43
The same lines fill a fourteen-ounce glass to drink in, a 32-ounce crowler to carry out, or a 64-ounce growler. The shop and the bar are one counter.1 The company says it puts its staff through Cicerone certification.2
On the board in early September 2026 was Abita root beer, sweetened with Louisiana cane sugar. Beside it stood Kling, an American lager from BarrieHaus Beer Co.1 I haven't found a critic or a beer writer on this shop.
Order this / avoid
- Order: whatever is on nitro. There are only two lines of it.1
- Order: a crowler on the way out.1
- Avoid: arriving with a fixed idea. Sixteen lines rotate.1
What locals & experts say
- The company's own line, printed at the top of its site:
Craft Beer Fans, Not Snobs.
2 - Nick Garber, reporting for Patch in August 2021, describes the format in the company's own words: a
bottle shop, tap room, and craft beer curator.
4 - Joshua Friedman, a co-owner, to Patch on a summer collaboration with Broken Bow Brewery:
Our friends at Broken Bow have done a great job collaborating with us to brew a perfect summertime Pilsner.

Good to know
- This is one of six doors. Craft + Carry also trades in Murray Hill, on the Upper East Side, in Dekalb Market Hall, on the Upper West Side and in Hell's Kitchen. The company began in Brooklyn in 2017.24
- The web address: craftandcarry.beer. The .com has lapsed and belongs to somebody else.5
Verdict
could-visit — Check the board online before you leave the house; every beer on it carries an Untappd link. Then fill the crowler off whichever tap you drank from.
