McNally Jackson Books
Ruth Rogers goes to McNally Jackson for the cookbooks:
It's a small place, but very special with an incredible selection of cookbooks.3
Why go
Sarah McNally opened the Prince Street shop in 2004 as McNally Robinson, an outpost of the Canadian chain her parents founded, and took it independent under her own name in 2008.2 In March 2023 she moved it from 52 Prince Street to 134. She had been at the old address nineteen years. Anna Rahmanan reported for Time Out New York that Publishers Weekly found no rent increase behind it. The two leases cost the same.1
Rogers says downtown and nothing more. The group has several downtown doors, so I cannot tell you which one she means.

Good to know
- This page is the Prince Street flagship. The group also runs shops in downtown Brooklyn, Williamsburg, the South Street Seaport and Rockefeller Center. There is a concession at LaGuardia. Two Goods for the Study stationery stores and a shop inside the Shed round it out.12
- The Rockefeller Center shop runs to 7,000 square feet, if you want the big one instead.1
Verdict
could-visit — It is six blocks west of where you remember it. Buy the book you would not have thought to search for.
