Mikado started as a small takeout counter in 2010. It now trades at nine New York addresses.2 The Financial District door stands at 164 Pearl Street.1 At the Brooklyn Heights branch The Infatuation found the rolls short, wide and packed with soft hunks of fish, and the nigiri finished with yuzu kosho or a paper-thin slice of jalapeno.3

It has never claimed anything else.2 Willa Moore reviewed the Brooklyn Heights branch for The Infatuation in November 2024. She put the appeal exactly: Mikado has six locations, which is great, because you're six times as likely to live near one.
