Overstory
Harrison Ginsberg runs Overstory, a bar on the 64th floor of 70 Pine Street. The salt in its Terroir Old Fashioned comes out of Coney Island water. A dedicated elevator takes you to 63 and you walk the last flight.
Why go
That last flight is a travertine stairwell, and it starts in a red marble lobby at street level. A terrace wraps the floor with 360 degrees of the skyline on it.3
The room is worked to the jazz age, with Art Deco in the fittings. Beside the cocktails sit a long sparkling wine list and a rare spirits list. A cocktail averaged $27 in September 2026.1
SAGA cooks one floor below.3 50 Best calls it one of the hottest food spots in town.1
Order this / avoid

Good to know
- Getting in: a reservation carries a $100 per person food and beverage minimum and is held for fifteen minutes.3
- The rules: 21 and over. The bar enforces no strict dress code and calls tank tops, flip flops and athletic wear too casual.3
Verdict
should-visit — Get there while the light is still on the buildings and move inside when it goes. Pick one drink and make it the right one.
