Wild Cherry
Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson put a restaurant in the back of A24's Cherry Lane Theatre. The card runs from frog legs kiev to fettuccine alfredo.
Why go
Nasr and Hanson run Frenchette and brought Le Veau d'Or back. This is a departure for them. The Infatuation and Eater both put the burger first. The room is dim. Prices in November 2025 ran a seafood cocktail at $32, the cheeseburger at $28, the kielbasa at $34 and the custards at $16.
Order this / avoid
- Order: the cheeseburger. Then the black forest frozen custard, with brownies and cherry compote.
- Avoid: the garlic bread and the chicken thighs. Kim found both flat.1
What locals & experts say
- Bryan Kim, The Infatuation (27 January 2026, 7.7): the burger is
Simple and modestly sized, but heaped with richness from bone marrow and sauce choron, this is undoubtedly the best thing here.
1 - Nadia Chaudhury, Eater NY (3 November 2025):
Kielbasa ($34), which is made in-house, is one of the best in the city, served with requisite sauerkraut.
2 - The MICHELIN Guide inspector:
Be warned that seating is limited and reservations are scarce.

Good to know
- Timing: dinner. Join the walk-in line before the doors open if you have no table.
- Booking: reservations are released two weeks in advance, and the bar takes walk-ins.
Verdict
should-visit — A ticket for the show changes how you use this room. Tell your server when you sit down and the kitchen will pace the courses, or send an entree out for after the curtain. With no ticket, take a bar seat and a briny house martini. Two burgers and a custard ran $72 at November 2025 prices, before the drinks.
