Bouche
Bouche's menu in September 2026 listed mussels with chili oil in a popcorn dashi.1
Why go
Angela Kong and Antoine Bernardin opened Bouche on rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud in June 2021 to serve tapassiettes
(their word for plates to share). They told The Socialite Family that year: Our menu represents what we like to eat and the way we like to eat it.
5 Order several plates, as the house still asked in September 2026: its menu was designed for ordering several plates, to taste, discover and enjoy
(pensée pour commander plusieurs assiettes, pour goûter, découvrir, se faire plaisir
).1
Florent Peineau cooked here from the opening until at least early 2026.57 Dominique Crenn, the first woman in the United States to earn three MICHELIN stars (for Atelier Crenn in San Francisco), named Bouche among her Paris favorites in February 2024: I love the creative everyday cooking at Bouche in the 11th.
3 Sara Lieberman, who put it in The Infatuation's 25 best in Paris, found natural and biodynamic wines in a room that looks like it could have been plucked from the artsy Kreuzkölln district in Berlin, with exposed stone and sparse decor beyond dried flowers and candlelight.

Crenn and Lieberman both ate Peineau's cooking. By September 2026 the menu named a new chef, Isaac Picard-Chitrit. The house wrote that he takes his lead from the seasons and from produce he likes to cook simply and precisely
(s'inspire des saisons, des produits, qu'il aime travailler avec simplicité et justesse
).1
Order this / avoid
- Drink: the mezcal, lime and coconut milk slushy. Sara Lieberman, The Infatuation (guide first published 2022):
If you're more in the cocktail camp, go for the mezcal, lime, and coconut milk slushy.

Verdict
could-visit — Go for plates to pass round and natural wine in a bare stone room in the 11th, and try the mezcal slushy if you'd rather have a cocktail. The praise, Dominique Crenn's in 2024 included, was for Florent Peineau's cooking. Isaac Picard-Chitrit was the chef by September 2026.
