JangTu Restaurant
This Sunnyvale Korean room runs soondae four ways, from the $20.99 soup to the gopchang stir-fry for two. Nobody with a byline has written it up yet.
Why go
The menu tells you what the kitchen thinks it is. Soondae, the Korean blood sausage, appears as a plain plate, in soup, as a set meal, and stir-fried with gopchang for two.1 The stews back it up: gamjatang, dak galbi and dak dori tang, all portioned and priced for two at $51.99.1 The card ends with jokbal and pork bulgogi.1 Nobody has printed more about this kitchen than its own menu.
Order this / avoid
- Order: the soondae guk, $20.99, or the modum soondae plate if you want the sausage on its own.1
- Order: the gamjatang, with a partner.1
- Avoid: the two-person stews when eating alone. The portions and prices are built for a pair.1
Good to know
- Different restaurant: Jang Su Jang in Santa Clara, the one Tamarine's owner praised in 2018, is not this room.
Verdict
listed — A specialist card is the one strong signal on a stretch of El Camino nobody covers: soondae served as a plate, a soup, a set meal and a stir-fry is a kitchen with a point of view, and the stews price for two. It trades and the menu is current. Until somebody with a byline eats here, the card itself is all there is to place it on.
