Marina Meats
Marina Meats cuts beef, pork, lamb, veal and poultry at 2395 Chestnut Street. 7x7 put it on the city's short list of butchers in 2010. David Budworth worked this counter and Avedano's in Bernal Heights at the same time. I have not found anything written about the shop since.
Why go
Budworth championed a goat leg as the holiday roast in 2010. The shop's own site names no producer, no ranch and no founding year. So the person at the counter is your only source on where the meat came from. Ask before you buy.
What locals & experts say
- David Budworth, butcher at Marina Meats and Avedano's, to 7x7 in December 2010:
There is so much more butchers can do that people aren't aware of.
He would start a tradition of doing something new every year.1 - The shop's own counter list, read in January 2026: beef, pork, sausages, chicken, other poultry, lamb, veal, turkey and a holiday roast section. The shop names no producer or ranch anywhere on it.2
Good to know

- Where: 2395 Chestnut Street, in the Marina.
Verdict
listed — I would not send a visitor across town for this on what I can read. For a neighbor it is a fine errand.
