Sichuan Home
The roasted lamb chops come under a crunchy cumin crust. The Chef's Special Fish Stew arrives red and gets its heat at the table. Lena Park filed the room for Eater SF in June 2025 as one of the only Sichuanese kitchens in the city to have earned a Bib Gourmand.
Why go
Shoshi Parks put it among eight Bib Gourmand rooms for 7x7 in 2023. She described what you sit in: plexiglass over the tables, wood panelling on the walls, no frills anywhere. The card runs wider than the lamb: dan dan noodles with minced pork, and sauteed lily bulbs with gingko and mixed nuts. Then what Parks calls the palate-pushing end of it: frog with pickled peppers, and steamed intestine and pig's blood.2
The standing has moved and both desks predate the move. MICHELIN's own Bib list for the 2026 California selection runs to eleven San Francisco rooms and this is not one of them.3 I haven't found anything published about this kitchen since June 2025.
Order this / avoid
- Order: the roasted lamb chops. Both desks lead on the cumin crust.1
- Order: the Chef's Special Fish Stew, and let them heat it at the table.
- Avoid: a big group. Park calls the room snug and Parks calls it no-frills.
