Flowers Vineyards & Winery
The vineyards are on the far Sonoma Coast, at Camp Meeting Ridge and Sea View Ridge, and the tasting is in a Healdsburg garden an hour inland. Three wines and a snack board is $75.1
Why go
House of Flowers sits in gardens and redwoods off Westside Road, and it exists so you can taste extreme coastal Chardonnay and Pinot Noir without driving to the ridge they came off.1 The top flight is built as a site study: five estate wines including library Almar Chardonnay and the Cielo and Pietra Site Series Pinots, from small parcels inside the two estate vineyards.1 Every visit is by advance reservation, Thursday to Monday.1

- Order: Elements of Site, $150, if you want the parcels rather than the appellation. It runs at 10am on Thursday and Friday, or by request.1
- Avoid: turning up with the family. No pets and no guests under 21, and the winery counts infants.1

Verdict
could-visit — Flowers farms Camp Meeting Ridge and Sea View Ridge, which sit on the extreme far Sonoma Coast, and the whole reason to book here is to taste one site against the other in a garden in Healdsburg instead of driving out to the ridge. The top flight, Elements of Site at $150, is sold as geology and topography with library Almar Chardonnay and the Cielo and Pietra Pinots, and it runs at 10am on Thursdays and Fridays only. The entry-level Sonoma Coast Journey is $75 for three wines and a snack board. Held here because everything above is the winery's own account and I could not find a critic who has written about the wines.
