Kao Soy Prin (Central Park)
Prin Polsuk, the Nahm veteran whose Samrub Samrub Thai holds a Michelin star, grew up in Lampang, and his khao soi shop on the fifth floor of Dusit Central Park entered the Michelin Guide in May 2026 within months of the development opening.
Why go
Khao soi in Bangkok usually means a Chiang Mai homage; Prin's version comes from a Lampang childhood, and the Michelin listing says his "roots shine through in dishes layered with spice and aroma," flagging both "khao soi with coconut-rich curry and a rarer clear-broth option." The clear broth is the tell that this is a chef's project; almost nobody in the city serves the un-coconut version. For the full Prin thesis, his two-month rotating regional menus, book Samrub Samrub Thai a few minutes away in the Silom sois; this counter is the B-side you can walk into at lunch.
Order this / avoid
- Order: one of each broth if you're two people, the coconut curry bowl and the clear one, and read them against each other; Michelin calls both standouts.
- Avoid: expecting a restaurant. It is a small shop on a mall dining floor, and the Silom office crowd owns it at peak lunch.
What locals & experts say
- Michelin Guide Thailand (2026): "this small shop delivers quality Northern Thai noodle soups." ref
- Michelin Guide (May 2026): named among the 10 new additions to the Thailand guide that month. ref
Good to know
- Timing: mall dining hours; exact times unverified, check the venue's Instagram (@kaosoyprin).
- Booking: walk-in, counter-service format.
- From voco Surawong: Dusit Central Park sits at the Rama IV and Silom corner by MRT Silom and BTS Sala Daeng, about a 15 minute walk from the base; pairs with a Samrub Samrub Thai evening for the full Prin arc.

Verdict (Chef Jeff ladder)
could-visit — The chef behind one-star Samrub Samrub Thai selling khao soi in a mall food floor, already picked up by the Michelin Guide within months of opening. The bowl has real credentials, the clear-broth version is genuinely uncommon, and it sits a short walk from the Silom base, which is exactly the geometry a could-visit is for. It stays off the detour tiers because it is a quick-service spinoff with no critical record yet; the pilgrimage version of Prin's cooking is the Samrub booking.
