A day out to Whitstable
Whitstable · 4 stops · 3 legs · 4 with pages
An hour and a half east of London on the north Kent coast, and three of the four saves are within five minutes of each other.
Four saves on this coast, and two of them are four doors apart on Whitstable High Street. The third is a shack on the East Quay at the harbour, five minutes north. The fourth is The Sportsman, two miles west along the shore at Seasalter, which is a drive rather than a walk.
Start on the High Street, because Wheelers and Samphire share it and the harbour is a short walk from either. Seasalter is a separate errand and it is the one that decides the shape of the day. Each room keeps its hours on its own page.
Four rooms carry pages and none of them is written up yet, so each page holds a name, a street and a pin. All four were checked against the statutory food premises records on 2026-08-21 and all four are trading. Three of the four were saved as pins that no list ever wrote down, which is why this coast looked like one save until that day.
Whitstable High Street2
The street runs the length of the old town, and the two rooms on it stand at numbers 4 and 8.
The harbour1
The harbour is five minutes north of the High Street, and the East Quay carries the fish market and the shacks.
Out to Seasalter1
Seasalter is two miles west along the shore road, past the beach huts, with the sea wall on one side.
