Pizza Punks
The dough is a San Francisco sourdough starter proofed 48 hours, and the kitchen has put a pizza into the National Pizza Awards final three years running, starting with the Friday Night Curry in 2023.
Why go
The curry pizza is the reason this page exists, and it checks out: the awards body's own 2023 finalists list carries "Pizza Punks, Glasgow - Friday Night Curry," one of a small national field. The Glasgow kitchen went back in 2024 with Birria Beef and again in 2025. Under that is the format the group is actually built on: unlimited toppings at no extra charge, GBP 10.95 for a 6 inch and GBP 16.95 for a 12 inch, with the house telling you where the physics stops, "We recommend a max five or six toppings due to cooking time required for more." Dough is handmade daily on site from a mature starter the company sources from San Francisco.
Order this / avoid
- Order: build your own, and put birria beef on it, which is the 2024 finalist topping still available on the create-your-own list. If the counter is running a current awards pizza, order that instead. The GBP 10 lunch menu is the cheap way in.3
- Avoid: stacking eight toppings because it costs nothing. The kitchen's own guidance is five or six, and past that the bake stops working. Also note the Friday Night Curry is no longer a listed pizza.

Verdict
could-visit — If it's on your way, and a build-your-own with no upcharge is a genuinely useful thing for a group with a picky eater in it. The dough is a real spec rather than a slogan, a San Francisco starter proofed 48 hours, and the Glasgow kitchen has put a pizza into the National Pizza Awards final in three consecutive years, which is a national body judging against 16 UK finalists. It stops at could-visit because it is a six-site group, no critic has argued for the food in print, and the curry pizza that earned the 2023 final is no longer a listed menu item.
