BR3WERY 255
Ten keg taps of BR3WERY's own beer, though the brewhouse itself moved out of this address in March 2024.1
Why go
The bar opened in December 2020 in a former mower shop at 253 Beckenham Road, put a brewery in behind it, then lost the brewery in March 2024 and moved next door to 255 on 17 January 2025.1 The old unit is a coffee shop now. What is at 255 is a stripped-brick room with bare floorboards and long shared benches, ten keg taps pouring whatever the company has ready, and usually one or two guests from other south London microbreweries, Gipsy Hill among them. Wine, cocktails and snacks fill the gaps, and pizza is ordered in from Yard Sale.
Order this / avoid
- Order: whatever BR3WERY has finished, since the taps follow the tanks rather than a printed list, then the Gipsy Hill guest.
- Avoid: cask, which CAMRA flags as unavailable, and number 253, which is the Loki coffee shop.
What locals & experts say
- CAMRA, Bromley branch, on the format and the move:
Friendly and welcoming, this is a popular community focussed microbrewery taproom, which now serves as a bistro following the move next door (from 253 to 255) on 17th January 2025.
On the beer:The taproom provides whatever is currently ready on draught but in keg form only. There are ten taps in total with usually one or two guest beers from other South London microbreweries, such as Gipsy Hill.

Verdict
listed — A ten-tap keg microbar at 255 Beckenham Road pouring BR3WERY's own beer with a guest or two from other south London brewers, Gipsy Hill among them. The name promises more than the room delivers, because the brewery moved out in March 2024 and the bar itself only moved into this unit from next door in January 2025. Stripped brick, shared benches, no kitchen, pizza in from Yard Sale, no cask at all. It sits on the bottom rung because one CAMRA survey from February 2025 is the entire published record of the place and there is no brewing to see.
