Three Hounds Beer Bar & Brewery
Four casks alongside twenty keg lines, and a quarterly Cask Club of first pours and rare barrels you buy a ticket for.2
Why go
It opened in 2020 in the middle of Covid and got going properly the following summer, in a 1904 parade of shops with turrets on each end built to serve the suburb that grew around Clock House station.2 The bar seats about forty with eight more out front, runs twenty taps and four casks, and keeps over 130 beers in the fridge to drink in or take home.1 A basement room reached by steep steps takes the music and the events. Artworks on the walls rotate and are for sale.
The operation has moved along Beckenham Road. The venue's own site now heads 71 Beckenham Road BR3 4QD; CAMRA's Bromley record, updated in July 2026, still carries it Open at 57. Check the number before you set off.
Order this / avoid
- Order: a cask. Four is the count, and it is more than most craft taprooms in this slice carry at all. Buy a Cask Club ticket if you want the rare barrels, because it runs four times a year on advance tickets only.2
- Avoid: walking to 57 Beckenham Road, which is the old door, and any of Monday to Wednesday before 3pm.1
What locals & experts say

The same record carries the awards:Local CAMRA branch joint runner-up Pub of the Year in 2024. Highly Commended award given in 2025.

Verdict
should-visit — Twenty taps and four casks in a Beckenham bar that brews its own, which is a cask count most London craft rooms do not attempt, and 130 more beers in the fridge to drink in or carry out. Four times a year it runs Cask Club, a ticketed mini festival of first pours, one-offs and rare barrels, which is the kind of thing a bar does when somebody there actually cares about cellarmanship. Bromley CAMRA made it joint runner-up Pub of the Year in 2024 and highly commended it in 2025. Two things keep it off the top rung: the operation has moved from 57 Beckenham Road to 71 and the record has not caught up, so check the number before you walk, and nothing published says what they brew.
