Why go

You cannot. TT, which spent most of its life as TT Liquor, ran nine years at 17b Kingsland Road across three floors: a liquor store at street level, a cellar bar in the cells, a cinema, an events space, a terrace and finally a rooftop restaurant. The drinks trade used it as a classroom, and CLASS ran its Academies there (CLASS). The company's own explanation of why the cellar bar never came back is the plainest statement of what happened: it "was closely tied to the main building we no longer operate from" (TT London). The name, the classes and the tastings moved to 48 Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch, with further sites in Covent Garden and Fitzrovia. The bar did not move with them.

Order this / avoid

Order: nothing here. If what you wanted was the cocktail class, it still runs, publicly on Friday and Saturday evenings at the Great Eastern Street address, with whisky and agave tastings alternating weekly.
Avoid: the Kingsland Road address. Two other businesses are registered there now.

Lauren Bowes, The Spirits Business, reporting the closure on 7 October 2024: "London bar TT, formerly known as TT Liquor, in Shoreditch has closed after nine years in business." She quoted the bar's own statement, which said the closure was "due to unforeseen circumstances" and that it was in discussions with a new operator about honouring existing bookings. ref
Hamish Smith, CLASS, the next day, on what the trade lost: "The multi-floor venue, which included a drinks shop, outside terrace, cocktail bar, cinema and events space, has served the drinks industry for nine years, as a host to educational events, not least CLASS Academies." ref
No review of the drinks was found in this pass, so nine years of cocktail programme leave this entry with an obituary and no verdict. That is a gap, and it is named rather than filled with the closure coverage.

Now at that address: the food-hygiene register lists Bennett Hay Kingsland Kitchen, inspected 24 February 2026 with a rating of 5, and Junkies, awaiting inspection. Different operators.
Where the business went: TT London, 48 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch EC2A 3EP, running cocktail classes and spirit tastings rather than a bar, plus rooms in Covent Garden and Fitzrovia.
A warning for the next refresh: booking and listing pages for the Kingsland Road venue are still live and still look open. They are not evidence of anything.

listed — A pin and a piece of history, because the building is gone from the business. TT ran nine years in a converted Victorian police station on Kingsland Road, with the liquor store at street level, a cellar bar in the old cells, a cinema, an events floor and finally a rooftop restaurant, which opened in April 2024 and was shut along with everything else by October. The drinks trade used it as a teaching room; CLASS ran its Academies there. Craft carries the most weight in any ruling and there is no craft at this address under this name, so the rung is a pin and the entry points at what survived. The classes and tastings still run, from 48 Great Eastern Street rather than here, and the cocktail bar did not reopen. Somebody else cooks at 17B now.
