Long Bridge Pizza Company
Neal DeNardi and Andrew Markoulis grew up in the Bay and named their Dogpatch pizzeria after the wooden causeway that carried people down here in the late 1800s. The Infatuation scored the sourdough pies 8.5.2
Why go
The dough is the argument. Lani Conway's review for The Infatuation lands on it directly: The casual spot does sourdough pies right,
with a crust that has a nice snap
and never goes chewy or hard.1 Jeff got to the same place eight years ago from a different direction, tasting a similar sourdough taste as PizzaHacker
in the margherita.3 Three dining rooms, beers on tap, and the game is usually on.2
Order this / avoid
- Order: the Loading Dock, which Conway calls
a top contender for the best pizza here.
1 The margherita is Jeff's pick.3 For a white pie, the Pizza Jacker:zingy and bright, mainly because there isn't a drop of tomato sauce to be found.
1 - Avoid: building the visit around the square pepperoni. Conway sends people in for it on a Thursday and still rates the thin-crust pies higher.1 And avoid Monday, when the room is shut.2

Verdict
should-visit — An 8.5 from The Infatuation on the sourdough crust, a five-star first-hand from Jeff on the margherita, and two named owners who built the place around a specific dough. The Loading Dock is a named thing to order and the Monday closure is a real planning fact. It is a neighborhood pizzeria rather than a destination, which keeps it off must-visit.
