Cure Bakery Coffee
The specialty drinks are chocolate coffees built on chocolate the shop makes itself, next to a Turkish coffee and a case of baklava.1
Why go
Sam Bayizitlioglu opened it on 9 March 2022 on the North 183 frontage road, and his account of the operation is that he bakes everything in the shop: scones, cakes, baklava, tiramisu, cheesecakes, key lime pie.1 The tell that the range is not a generic American bakery case is the baklava sitting beside the tiramisu, and the Turkish coffee behind the espresso machine.1 Turkish coffee is boiled with the grounds still in it rather than filtered, so it arrives with body and sediment and takes sugar at the brew rather than after.
Order this / avoid
- The chocolate coffee, the drink the shop puts forward as its own, made with chocolate it produces in-house.1
- Baklava, or the tiramisu, off the in-house case.1
- Avoid: reading any of that as a recommendation. Every word of it is the owner describing his own shop to a reporter.
Good to know
- I haven't found a critic who has eaten here. Claire Shoop's Community Impact report names the owner and the range and never says she tasted anything.
- The espresso comes in from outside. The shop sources its coffee from a local vendor rather than roasting.1
- The suite number: 13642 N. Highway 183, Suite 340.1
- Hygiene: Austin Public Health scores the kitchen 87, inspected 17 December 2025, under the register name Cure Bakery Coffee. It is the only inspection on file, so there is no trend to read. Austin runs a 100-point demerit scale with 70 as the failing line, so 87 is not a finding.2
- Getting there: the North 183 frontage road near Anderson Mill, northwest Austin. Driving only.
Verdict
could-visit — A bakery and coffee counter on the 183 frontage in northwest Austin, confirmed trading under this name by the health register and inspected once, in December 2025, at 87. That is the whole record. No critic and no guide this project reads has written a word about the pastry, so there is nothing to say about whether the laminating is any good, and this page says so instead of guessing from the category. Worth a stop if you are already out that way; worth nothing as a destination until somebody eats there and writes it down.
