A day out in the Clyde Valley
The Clyde Valley · 4 stops · 3 legs · 2 with pages
The upper Clyde runs southeast of Glasgow through Wishaw and Lanark to Biggar, about an hour end to end.
Somebody built a cotton village at New Lanark in 1786 and it still stands whole, while the Clyde drops over four linns in the woods above it. Walk that and you have your day. The valley towns around it hold two rooms we can point you at.
Wishaw is on the road out, New Lanark and the falls are the middle of the day, and Biggar is twenty minutes further up the valley if you are carrying on.
Two rooms with pages, and two sights carried by name and address alone with no write-up behind them yet. Nothing is saved in Lanark itself yet.
