A day out to Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond · 11 stops · 2 legs · 10 with pages
Loch Lomond starts about forty minutes north of Glasgow and runs twenty-four miles further, with a different road down each shore.
Two roads go up the loch and you pick one. The A81 and A809 climb past Dumgoyne and drop into Drymen for the quiet east shore at Balmaha. The A82 runs fast and busy up the west side instead, to the pubs at Inverbeg and Inverarnan.
The east shore comes first below, then the west. Nobody drives both in a day, so read it as two days and take the one that suits the weather.
Eleven rooms across both shores. Balloch and Luss sit on the loch and there is nothing saved in either yet, so this page sends you past them rather than into them.
The east shore7

The Highland line runs straight through the property, so the spirit is distilled in the Highlands and carried across the road to mature in the Lowlands.
