A day along the Forth & Clyde canal
The Forth & Clyde canal · 5 stops · 2 legs · 4 with pages
The canal runs east from the Clyde through Clydebank and reaches Falkirk, where the wheel lifts boats between the two canals.
This is the day Jeff's own note describes. He saved the chip boat at Clydebank with the words "Fish and chips on the canal bike path", and the boat lift at the far end of the same water is a saved pin of his too. Ride it, drive it, or do the two ends and skip the middle.
Start at Clydebank, near the western end of the canal, and finish in Falkirk, where the wheel is. Falkirk town centre holds the butcher and the bar within a few streets of each other, and Larbert is five minutes further north.
Four rooms carry pages and the wheel stands on its own name and address. None of the four is written up yet, so each page holds a name, a town and a pin.
The Clydebank end1
The canal runs through the town on its way east, and the chip boat is moored on it.
The Falkirk end4
The wheel stands outside the town, and Cow Wynd and Vicar Street sit a few minutes apart in the middle of it.
