A day out to North Berwick
North Berwick · 9 stops · 3 legs · 9 with pages
North Berwick sits on the East Lothian coast, about forty minutes east of Edinburgh by the A198 or half an hour by train.
The coast road east of Edinburgh runs through Musselburgh and Gullane before it reaches the harbour at North Berwick, where a shack on the quay boils lobster and the beach is right there. Drive it and you can stop three times before lunch.
The stops below follow the A198 out and then walk the town from the High Street down to the harbour. Check hours on each page: the harbour trade is seasonal and the shack shuts out of season.
Nine rooms carry pages here and five of them stand in the town itself. Every one of them came off Jeff's own saved pins, and every one was checked against the Food Standards Scotland licensing records on 2026-08-16.
