Portobello is a sand beach with a mile of promenade, twenty minutes east of the centre of Edinburgh.
Take the 26 bus east and you are on sand in twenty minutes. Portobello keeps a working high street a block behind its promenade, so the day runs beach, then lunch, then a glass of something before the bus back.
The order below walks from the prom up onto Portobello High Street. It is not a schedule, and every room here keeps its own hours on its own page.
