Cross-da-Fence Noodles Shop
The English Maps name is a joke translation: this is Kuai Tiao Peen Rua, "climb-the-fence noodles," named for the customers who scaled the expressway safety fence on Rama IV to reach the pork bowls after the barrier went up in 1981.
Why go
The shop has run for over 60 years, from a father's pushcart to an old shophouse in the soi beside the Chaloem Maha Nakhon ramp, per a 2019 Naewna column (Thai daily, outside our registry, labeled here). The bowl is pork noodles with the complete offal set, intestines, liver and stomach, boiled fresh daily and, per the column, washed clean of any gamey edge. It comes dry or as soup in your choice of noodle width. There is no English signage and no printed menu, which filters the room down to the neighborhood.
Order this / avoid
- Order: Jeff's brief is the menu: pork noodle with intestines. Dry with the offal set is the local build.
- Avoid: showing up after lunch. Doors open at 8am and the pots reportedly run dry by early afternoon. And keep this separate from the beef-noodle "fence" shop near Vajiravudh School in Si Yan; that is a different institution.

- Note: chef rec noodle lunch; pork noodle, intestines, local. breakfast and lunch
Verdict
could-visit — A 60-year pork-noodle shop that locals named after climbing a fence to reach it, with the intestines done properly and a sell-out clock that ends the day by early afternoon. The chef rec on Jeff's list is the reason it is here at all; nothing published can yet raise it higher, and a shop this local does not need it to.
